Today is 6 months since he has gone missing.
We have not wavered in our confidence that Erick is out there,
making his way through life, albeit apart from those of us who love
and care for him.

Our hope, going forward, is twofold:
1) That Erick will have a watershed moment where he has the courage
to reach out and make contact with those who love him.
2) That someone – somewhere or somehow – will see Erick and let us know.

We humbly ask for your help in these two areas:
- please join us in prayer that Erick will initiate contact and please keep your eyes out for him
as he could be anywhere.

Words can not describe our thankfulness to all of you who have walked this very difficult
journey with us over the last 6 months.
Your sacrifice, love, prayers and concern have been the very things to help us make it
through every painful moment as we yearn for Erick’s safe return.

We’re beginning to realize that you have made the choice to walk away for a while.

We don’t fully understand the way you’ve chosen to do it but we have vigorously pursued every lead to find out if you are still OK. It’s not illegal to step away like you have done. We are only looking for everyone’s heart to be set at ease.

Our main concern right now is to know that you are OK. We are accepting that you may not be ready to come back just yet but are praying that we will get some word that you’re alive and well.

If you’ve been following what’s happening online, you know that there are a lot of people who deeply love you and are concerned for your well-being.

A reminder for today – the search will begin at 10:00am. We ask that you try to get there at 9:30am, this way we can organize people to be ready to start at 10:00am. Everyone will be briefed and then divide into groups. The goal is to cover the area where Erick’s car was found; this means talking to people on the streets, handing out flyers to anyone and everyone, as well as speaking with local businesses to try to gain access to their property to search.

When: Thursday the 29th

Time: 10:00am – 1:00pm

Place: Barrio Logan (where Erick’s car was found)

Location: The park underneath the Coronado Bridge near the playground
(see the map above.)

Please if you can bring the flyers of Erick so we can pass them around. Also we are asking if you could wear something green so as to unify us as a group.

To start off, I would like to say thank you to everyone who has expressed their concerns and sent their prayers for Erick and his family and friends. Right now our main concern is finding Erick and bringing him home. We believe that Erick is acting outside his usual state of mind.

We do not believe that any discoveries clearly state that Erick inflicted harm on himself or was under duress. Right now there is no evidence to suggest one thing or another.

Unanswered questions still exist, but to be clear – we have NOT found Erick Wales. Erick needs our help to return home safely to his family and friends that love and care about him. We ask you to keep posting flyers around the border, including hotels in that area, and even hotels in Downtown San Diego and across the city. At this point every little thing matters. We all have family we love, and I’m sure you can imagine our hope to bring him home is still very much alive!

We want to put together a search party to canvas the area where Erick’s car was located this Thursday the 29th at 10 AM. We understand it’s a work day but we would like to do it sooner rather than later. All interested parties please respond ASAP. Erick is out there and needs everyone’s help to get him home.

There have been a few news reports after the discovery of Erick’s car that quote and/or show individuals speaking about a suicide note found in the car. Unfortunately, these reports were broadcast without proper corroboration from the police and are misleading. The San Diego Police Department has strong reason to believe that Erick is still alive and they are currently investigating his whereabouts.The family chooses to believe the police and their expertise more than the speculative, unsubstantiated and irresponsible reporting of some local media outlets.

Please join Erick’s family and friends in the quest for his safe return.

The family and friends of Erick Wales are confirming that law enforcement officers found Erick’s car at 9:00am this morning. They HAVE NOT found Erick yet. Please do not give up hope and continue the search.
